CANCELLED: Michael J. Glennon Discusses National Security and Double Government – Weds, Nov. 12

CANCELLED: Unfortunately, Prof. Glennon had to cancel this appearance. Please stay tuned for similar events in the future.

Why has U.S. security policy scarcely changed from the Bush to the Obama administration?

Michael J. Glennon, a Professor at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, offers a disquieting answer in National Security and Double Government (Oxford University Press, 2014). Glennon challenges the myth that U.S. security policy is still forged by America’s visible, “Madisonian institutions” – the President, Congress, and the courts. Their roles, he argues, have become largely illusory.

This event is co-sponsored by the International Law Society at NYU School of Law and The Fletcher Club of New York. Light dinner will be provided.
